East Carolina's Jenkins-Cowart, Wichita State's LaPour Earn Weekly Honors

IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly baseball honors for the final week of the regular season.
 
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Jacob Jenkins-Cowart, Jr., OF, East Carolina
Jenkins-Cowart helped the Pirates earn their fifth consecutive American Athletic Conference regular season title by hitting .500 (7-14) with five runs scored, three home runs and 11 RBI. He Had at least two RBI in all three wins against Rice, including six in the second game of the series.
 
PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Tommy LaPour, Fr., P, Wichita State
LaPour pitched six scoreless innings with only one hit allowed while striking out two as the Shockers went on the road to defeat Memphis, 14-1, on Thursday night.
 
HONOR ROLL
Brayton Brown, Gr., OF, UAB
Brown hit .417 (5-12) with four runs scored, two doubles, one home run and four RBI as the Blazers earned a series win at South Florida.
 
Danny Beal, Sr., P, East Carolina
Beal pitched four scoreless innings of relief with six strikeouts to earn the win in the Pirates’ 6-4 win over Rice to clinch the regular season title.
 
Michael Lombardi, So., P/INF, Tulane
Lombardi had a home run with four RBI, while also throwing 3.2 innings of scoreless relief to earn a win as the Green Wave earned a series win over Charlotte.
 
Alexander Olivo, Sr., DH, UTSA
Olivo hit .438 (7-16) with six runs scored, two doubles, two home runs and five RBI as the Roadrunners went 3-1 last week, including a series win at Florida Atlantic.
 
Ulises Quiroga, Sr., P, UTSA
Quiroga allowed one run in 5.2 innings with four strikeouts, earning the win as UTSA defeated Florida Atlantic, 14-1, on Thursday.
