IRVING, Texas – East Carolina and Tulane are headed to the 2024 NCAA Baseball Championship, as the bracket was released on Monday, May 27. It is the second straight year that both the Pirates and Green Wave are representing the American Athletic Conference in the national tournament.
East Carolina (43-15), the American Athletic Conference regular season champion, is the No. 16 overall seed and is hosting the Greenville Regional. Clark-LeClair Stadium is hosting an NCAA Regional for the sixth time. The Pirates will take on Missouri Valley Conference Champion Evansville (35-23) on Friday, while the other two teams in the Regional are Wake Forest (38-20) and VCU (37-21).
The Pirates will make their 34
th overall and sixth-consecutive NCAA Regional appearance.
Tulane (35-24), which defeated Wichita State in the final of the 2024 American Baseball Championship presented by Regions on a walk-off home run by Jackson Linn, will travel to Corvalis, Oregon, to take on the No. 15 overall seed Oregon State (42-14). The other two teams in the Regional are Nicholls (38-20) and UC Irvine (43-12).
The Green Wave became the first team to win back-to-back American Baseball Championships and are making their 23
rd overall NCAA Regional appearance.
