IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference has announced the weekly women’s soccer honors for the second week of the season.
 
Offensive Player of the Week
Rachel Roebuck, Sr., F, North Texas
Roebuck scored four goals against Prairie View A&M on Sunday, August 25, one of five 4-goal matches in the country this season. The senior also picked up a goal against Texas Southern on Thursday, August 22. It was the first 4-goal match in The American since Georgia Brown scored four goals for South Florida against Florida College on September 7, 2023.
 
Defensive Player of the Week
Georgia Brown, Sr., D, South Florida
Brown helped lead the South Florida defense to a pair of shutouts over Southern (5-0) and Florida Gulf Coast (4-0). The Bull defense allowed just one shot of goal over the two matches, while Brown also provided an assist in each contest.
 
Goalkeeper of the Week
Kaylie Bierman, Sr., Memphis
Bierman made a pair of saves in the Tigers’ 2-1 road win at Ole Miss on Sunday, August 25. The only goal allowed came on a penalty kick.
 
Freshman of the Week
Ai Kitagawa, M, Memphis
Kitagawa scored both goals in Memphis’ 2-1 road victory at Ole Miss on Sunday night. After a scoreless first half, Kitagawa scored in the 51^st and 59^th minutes lead the Tigers.
 
Honorable Mention
Abbey Burns, Jr., M, UAB
Burns scored two goals for the Blazers in a 3-3 draw against Samford on the road on Thursday night.
 
Abi Major, Jr., D, North Texas
Major led the Mean Green defense to a pair of shutouts over Prairie View A&M and Texas Southern without allowed a shot on goal.
 
Anna Sutter, Sr., F, South Florida
Sutter recorded seven points over a pair of Bull wins, scoring two goals against Southern on Wednesday, before providing a goal and an assist over Florida Gulf Coast on Sunday.
 
Jordan Frederick, Jr., F, Tulsa
Frederick scored a goal and provided three assists in the Golden Hurricane’s 6-0 win over McNeese on Sunday.
 
Kaleigh Hart, Fr., F, Tulsa
Hart scored a brace and added an assist in Tulsa’s 6-0 win over McNeese.
