East Carolina, Florida Atlantic and North Texas all picked up American Athletic Conference men's basketball victories on Wednesday, January 8.

Jayshayne Woodard scored the game-winning layup with 10 seconds left to lift East Carolina over Temple, 80-79. Florida Atlantic took down Charlotte, 75-64, on the road, led by Baba Miller's 20 points. Atin Wright scored 21 to lead North Texas to a 81-59 win over Rice.
