IRVING, Texas – The American Conference has announced the weekly women’s soccer honors for the 10th week of the 2025 season.
Offensive Player of the Week
Ashley Henderson, Jr., F, Memphis
Henderson scored two goals as Memphis defeated East Carolina, 5-0, on Sunday afternoon, October 19. The junior opened the scoring for the match in the third minute and tallied another goal in the 61
st minute as the Tigers clinched their third consecutive American regular-season championship.
Defensive Player of the Week
Ava Mills, Jr., D, UAB
Mills and the Blazer defense recorded a shutout in a 2-0 win over Florida Atlantic on Sunday. The Blazers allowed just four shots on target. The junior also tallied the game-winning goal 16 minutes into the first half.
Goalkeeper of the Week
Tatum Sanders, Sr., Tulsa
Sanders recorded four saves and a clean sheet as the Golden Hurricane defeated then-second place UTSA, 2-0.
Freshman of the Week
Mihiro Furuya, F, Memphis
Furuya scored her first collegiate goal in the 84
th minute of a 5-0 Tiger victory over East Carolina.
Honorable Mention
Lauren Lucero, Jr., F, UAB
Lucero assisted on both of UAB’s goals in a 2-0 win over Florida Atlantic.
Ally Casey, So., D, Memphis
Casey and the Tiger defense allowed three shots on goal in a 5-0 win East Carolina, while the sophomore also scored the second goal of the match.
Gentiana Fetaj, Sr., M, South Florida
Fetaj scored a goal and assisted on another tally as the Bulls defeated Charlotte, 2-1, on Sunday.
Natalie Hernandez, Fr., D, Tulsa
Hernandez tallied an assist in a 2-0 win over UTSA and helped the Golden Hurricane in only allowing four shots on goal.
Maggie SymSmith, Sr., M, Tulsa
SymSmith scored the game-winning goal in the 20
th minute of a 2-0 win over Florida Atlantic.
