American Conference Announces 2025-26 Women’s Basketball Tip Times and Television Assignments

IRVING, Texas The American Conference released the tip times and television assignments for its 2025-26 women’s basketball schedule on Tuesday.
 
The 2025-26 season will be the American’s sixth under its media rights extension with ESPN, in which a minimum of six women’s basketball games will appear on ESPN’s linear networks.
 
Non-conference games appearing on linear television for the upcoming season include LSU at Tulane on Nov. 17 on ESPNU (7 p.m. ET), Duke at South Florida on Nov. 20 on ESPNU (8 p.m. ET), UConn at South Florida on Dec. 2 on ESPN2 (5 p.m. ET) and South Carolina at South Florida on Dec. 18 on ESPN2 (7 p.m. ET).
 
American league games that will appear on linear television for the 2025-26 season include: North Texas at Rice on Feb. 10 on ESPNU (9 p.m. ET) and Memphis at UTSA on March 1 on ESPNU (time TBA).
 
The remaining conference-controlled games will stream on ESPN+ on the recently enhanced ESPN App, the preeminent digital sports destination. ESPN+ is available via ESPN’s two direct-to-consumer plans or certain Pay TV providers. Sign up or authenticate at stream.espn.com.
 
All games that are televised on an ESPN network or service are available on the ESPN App, either through ESPN DTC or authentication via Pay TV credentials.
 
Beginning this season, the American Basketball Championship will feature the top 10 teams in a new five-day bracket format. The No. 1 and No. 2 seeds will advance directly to the semifinals, while the No. 3 and No. 4 seeds will maintain byes to the quarterfinals. The No. 5 and No. 6 seeds will receive byes to the second round. The 2026 Championship will run Tuesday through Saturday, March 10-14 at the Legacy Arena at the BJCC in Birmingham, Alabama.
 
North Texas (25-9), South Florida (23-11), Temple (20-11) and UTSA (26-5) all reached the 20-win mark a season ago. The Bulls claimed their second American Conference Tournament championship to earn the league’s automatic NCAA Tournament bid. UTSA earned an invitation to the WBIT, while UAB, North Texas and Tulsa received WNIT bids.
