UAB, Charlotte, South Florida Earn Final Weekly Honors of the Season

IRVING, Texas – The American Conference has announced the weekly women’s soccer honors for the final week of the 2025 regular season.
 
Offensive Player of the Week
Abbey Burns, Sr., M, UAB
Burns scored a goal and provided two assists as the Blazers defeated North Texas, 3-2, and earned the final berth to the American Women’s Soccer Championship.
 
Defensive Player of the Week
Rachel Logue, Gr., D, Charlotte
Logue helped lead the 49er defense that recorded a 1-0 shutout of East Carolina to clinch the No. 2 seed for the American Women’s Soccer Championship.
 
Goalkeeper of the Week
Harlee Head, R-Jr., Charlotte
Head recorded six saves and a clean sheet in a 1-0 win over East Carolina on Thursday night.
 
Freshman of the Week
Selma Astrom, D, South Florida
Astrom scored a goal in the Bulls’ 2-1 victory over Florida Atlantic to secure a spot in the American Women’s Soccer Championship.
 
Honorable Mention
Naroa Domenech, Sr., F, Charlotte
Domenech scored the lone goal in the 61st minute of a 1-0 win over East Carolina.
 
Ashley Henderson, Jr., F, Memphis
Henderson scored two goals in the Tigers’ 6-0 win over Temple on Monday afternoon.
 
Gentiana Fetaj, Sr., M, South Florida
Fetaj scored the game-winning goal and provided an assist in South Florida’s 2-1 win over Florida Atlantic.
 
Ava Jackson, R-Fr., F, UTSA
Jackson scored a goal and assisted on another score as the Roadrunners defeated Temple, 3-1, on Thursday.
 
Tatum Sanders, Sr., GK, Tulsa
Sanders recorded six saves in a 4-0 shutout of Rice on Thursday.
