IRVING, Texas – The American Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly women’s basketball awards for the week ending Sunday, November 23.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Stefanie Ingram, R-Jr., G, South Florida
Ingram scored a career-high 27 points against Duke to help the Bulls defeat the Blue Devils for a second straight season. She scored 21 points in the second half, while shooting 61.5 percent from the floor and 66.7 percent from behind the arc.
FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
Mecailin Marshall, Fr., G, Tulane
Marshall averaged 16.5 points and 3.5 rebounds in a pair of games. In the game against No. 5 LSU she scored a career-high 20 points, while collecting four rebounds.
HONORABLE MENTION
Tanajah Hayes, Gr., G, Charlotte
Hayes scored 16 points and dished out seven assists in the 73-59 win over Wofford.
Anzhané Hutton, Gr., F, East Carolina
Hutton scored a career-high 26 points and came down with 13 rebounds in the game against Old Dominion.
Aysia Proctor, Jr., G, North Texas
Proctor led the Mean Green to a 58-55 win over SMU, scoring 16 points in the game, including the final four to ice the game.
Idara Udo, Jr., F, UTSA
Udo scored 11 points and collected 13 rebounds in the 74-57 win over UIW.
Hannah Riddick, R-Sr., F, Tulsa
Riddick led Tulsa to a pair of wins over Oral Roberts and Missouri State, averaging 16.5 points and 12 rebounds.
