Charlottes Hayes, UTSA's Robles Earn Weekly Women's Hoops Honors

IRVING, Texas – The American Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly women’s basketball awards for the week ending Sunday, December 14.
 
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Tanajah Hayes, Gr., G, Charlotte
Hayes was instrumental in the 49ers win over Davidson in the 704 Cup rivalry. The guard scored 19 points, surpassing the 1,000-career point mark, and dished out eight assists. In the fourth quarter, Hayes recorded three assists and scored six of the final eight points.
 
Freshman of the Week
Adriana Robles, Fr., G, UTSA
Robles helped secure a win for the Roadrunners over Prairie View A&M, scoring eight points, while recording five assists and three rebounds.
 
Honorable Mention
Keanna Rembert, Sr., F, East Carolina
Rembert scored 19 points on 64 percent shooting to go with five rebounds in a win over UNC Asheville.
 
Aniah Alexis, So., G, Rice
Alexis led the Owls to a win over UT Arlington with 17 points, six rebounds, three steals and two assists.
 
Kaylah Turner, G, Jr., Temple
Turner exploded with 29 points and six assists in Temple’s 88-63 win over VCU.
 
Mia Hammonds, So., G, UTSA
Hammonds scored 17 points and tallied six rebounds in UTSA’s 86-40 win over Prairie View A&M.
 
Kendall Sneed, So., G, Tulane
Sneed scored a season-high 18 points and dished out five assists to lead Tulane past New Orleans, 95-71.
