IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of its weekly women’s lacrosse honors for the week-ending Feb. 23.
AMERICAN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE ATTACK PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Sofia Chepenik • So. • South Florida • Palm Coast, Fla.
Chepenik led all American Athletic Conference players with 10 goals and 11 points in two games as she scored five goals each against No. 6 Florida and Towson. She had five goals with two ground balls in an 18-11 setback to the Gators and five goals, an assist and five draw controls in a 13-12 loss to the Tigers. Chepenik leads the Bulls with 15 goals with five assists for 20 points in 2025.
AMERICAN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE MIDFIELDER OF THE WEEK
Alex Kulinski • Jr. • Old Dominion • Marlton, N.J.
Kulinski scored a game-high four goals as Old Dominion continued its hot start to the 2025 season with an 11-8 win at Campbell. She scored three goals in the second half, including a tying goal in the third quarter, and had ODU’s final two goals to secure the victory. Kulinski is tied for the Monarchs’ team lead with 15 points (11g, 3a) through five games.
AMERICAN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Rylee Dockery • Gr. • Charlotte • Queen Creek, Ariz.
Dockery was the top performer on a Charlotte defense that limited Radford to four goals and 24 shots in a 19-4 win. Dockery had three ground balls and three draw controls to go with a caused turnover as the 49ers limited the Highlanders to just one first-half goal.
AMERICAN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE GOALKEEPER OF THE WEEK
Katie Ling • Jr. • Charlotte • Springboro, Ohio
Ling, a transfer from Niagara, was instrumental in Charlotte’s 19-4 win against Radford as she made 13 saves and allowed only four goals while picking up a game-high six ground balls. Ling made seven stops in the second quarter, which allowed the 49ers to build a 9-1 halftime lead. Ling, who denied the Highlanders on all four free position shots, leads The American with a .526 save percentage.
AMERICAN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
Katie Gorski • A • Fr. • Charlotte • Catonsville, Md.
Gorski had a breakout performance to key Charlotte’s 19-4 win against Radford as she scored a game-high five goals with an assist for six points. Her third goal of the game gave the 49ers a running clock early in the third quarter, while she scored back-to-back goals later in the period to give Charlotte a 14-1 lead.
