Rice, Memphis, Tulane all picked up American Athletic Conference men's basketball wins on Wednesday, February 5. 

PJ Haggerty led Memphis with 23 points as the Tigers defeated Tulsa, 83-71, to stay in first place in The American's standings. Caden Powell led Rice with a double-double of 18 points and 10 rebounds as the Owls defeated East Carolina, 73-60, on the road. Rowan Brumbaugh hit a pair of free throws
