South Florida also had two award winners, with Mama Dembele being named The American’s Defensive Player of the Year and forward L’or Mputu receiving Most Improved Player recognition.
Tulane’s Kendall Sneed earned Freshman of the Year, while Temple’s Kaylah Turner was selected as Sixth Player of the Year. Rice’s Malia Fisher and Tulsa’s Delanie Crawford were honored with The American's Ambassador Award.
