Twenty Players from The American Selected in 2025 MLB Draft

ATLANTA – Twenty student-athletes from the American Athletic Conference were selected in the 2025 Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft July 13-14 in Atlanta.
 
It is the most players drafted from The American under the 20-round format since 2021, when 15 players were picked.
 
Tulane pitcher Michael Lombardi was the first player from The American selected, going No. 61 overall in the second round to the Kansas City Royals.
 
UAB, Charlotte, South Florida and Tulane each had three selections, while East Carolina, Rice and UTSA each had two draft picks. Memphis and Wichita State each had one pick.
