Four players from the American have been named to the 2025 Outland Trophy preseason watch list. The Outland Trophy is presented annually to the standout interior lineman in college football.
Army had two players on the watch list - center Brady Small and offensive guard Paolo Gennarelli, who return from a 2024 offensive line that won the Joe Moore Award as the best in the nation. Gennarelli was a third-team AP All-America selection, while both Gennarelli and Small were both first-team all-conference picks.
Navy placed nose guard Landon Robinson on the watch list. Robinson earned all-conference first team honors after he had 61 tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss and 4.0 sacks with two forced fumbles in 2024.
Tulane offensive guard Shadre Hurst was also named to the watch list. Hurst earned all-conference first team honors in 2024 after he led an offensive line that helped the Green Wave rank among the top five in the American in seven offensive categories. Hurst played in all 14 games with 13 starts in 2024.
