STILLWATER, Okla. — Baylor Hayes threw a 19-yard touchdown pass to Braylin Presley and Seth Morgan kicked four field goals as Tulsa defeated Oklahoma State 19-12 on Friday night, snapping the Cowboys’ 10-game winning streak in the series and earning the Golden Hurricane their first win in Stillwater since 1951 .

Tulsa (2-2) built a 19-3 lead midway through the third quarter behind Morgan’s accuracy, including kicks from 27, 38 and 47 yards. The defense did the rest, sacking Oklahoma State quarterback Zane Flores twice and forcing the Cowboys to settle for field goals on two late red-zone trips .

Dominic Richardson, a former Oklahoma State running back, carried 31 times for 146 yards against his old team, powering a Tulsa offense that totaled 424 yards and controlled the ball for nearly 35 minutes. Hayes finished 23 of 36 for 219 yards without a turnover in his second career start.

Flores threw for 218 yards and added a 5-yard rushing touchdown early in the fourth quarter to bring Oklahoma State (1-2) within 19-9, but the Cowboys never got closer than seven. Logan Ward’s 49-yard field goal with 5:49 left made it 19-12, and OSU’s final drive ended on downs at midfield .

The Golden Hurricane’s defense was led by Ray Coney, who had 13 tackles and a sack, while Solento Smith added 10 stops and three pass breakups .
