Tulsa Sweeps Women's Basketball Weekly Honors

IRVING, Texas – The American Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly women’s basketball awards for the week ending Sunday, January 11.
 
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Mady Cartwright, Jr., G, Tulsa
Cartwright led Tuls to a pair of wins on the week, averaging 25.5 points and four rebounds. She helped Tulsa erase a 17-point deficit in the win against Tulane, scoring 20 points in the game, before scoring 31 points in the win over Temple.
 
FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
Dora Toman, Fr., G, Tulsa
Toman averaged 10 points, 4.5 assists, 3.5 rebounds and two steals in wins over Tulane and Temple, leading the Golden Hurricane in assists in both games.
 
HONORABLE MENTION
Daejah Richmond, Jr., G, Memphis
Richmond averaged 23.5 points, nine rebounds, five assists and 3.5 steals in a pair of games.
 
Megan Nestor, Sr., F, North Texas
Nestor averaged a double-double, scoring 12 points and 15.5 rebounds in wins over East Carolina and Tulane.
 
Louann Battiston, Jr., G, Rice
Battiston scored a career-high 20 points off the bench in the win over Charlotte.
 
Katie Davidson, Gr., G, South Florida
Davidson scored 20 points in both wins of the week to lead the Bulls past UAB and Memphis.
 
Ereauna Hardaway, Sr., G, UTSA
Hardaway led the Roadrunners to a win over Charlotte, scoring 19 points while adding seven assists, three rebounds and three steals.
