RUSTON, La. — Dylone Brooks rushed for 119 yards and two touchdowns to power Louisiana Tech to a 31-29 victory over Army West Point on Saturday at Joe Aillet Stadium.
Brooks scored on a 72-yard run in the first quarter and added a 74-yard touchdown reception on a trick play from receiver Marcus Calwise Jr. Louisiana Tech (2-2) racked up 503 yards of total offense, averaging nearly nine yards per play.
Army (2-2) rallied late, pulling within two on a 6-yard touchdown pass from Cale Hellums to Parker Poloskey with 1:07 left, but the Bulldogs secured the ensuing kickoff to preserve the win.
Samari Howard led Army with 158 rushing yards and a touchdown. Linebackers Jadon Mayfield and Kolbe Fields anchored Louisiana Tech's defense with 13 tackles each.
