UAB, Charlotte, Florida Atlantic And Rice Earn Weekly Women’s Soccer Honors

IRVING, Texas – The American Conference has announced the weekly women’s soccer honors for the eighth week of the 2026 season.

Offensive Players of the Week
Lailah Stewart, Sr., F, UAB
Stewart was tied for the conference lead in goals last week with two after bagging a brace in a 3-0 shutout of North Texas. Stewart scored in the 58th and 65th minutes while attempting a match-high six shots (three shots on goal.

Evie Craven, Sr., F, Charlotte
Craven added a second multi-goal match of the season while running active total to six goals over the past four starts by scoring twice in a 3-1 win at Tulsa. Craven opened the scoring in the 34th minute and tallied a golazo free kick in the 64th minute that was the top play on ESPN’s SportsCenter Top 10.

Defensive Player of the Week
Abby Graeser, Sr., D, UAB
The UAB defense, with Graeser among the players going the full 90 minutes, limited North Texas to five total shots on goal in a 3-0 shutout. It was the third team clean sheet for the Blazers this season.

Midfielder of the Week
Avery Berryman, Sr., UAB
Berryman was the leading scorer among conference midfielders last week, scoring a goal and adding two assists in UAB’s 3-0 win over North Texas. Berryman broke a scoreless tie with the match-winning goal in the 52nd minute before providing the primary assists on both goals scored by Lailah Stewart later in the second half.

Goalkeeper of the Week
Kirsten Ruf, Sr., Rice
Ruf recorded six saves, all in the second half, to preserve the shutout in a 3-0 win at UTSA. It was Ruf’s third solo clean sheet of the season.

Freshman of the Week
Lola Hathorne, M, Florida Atlantic
Hathorne registered a third multi-point match this season, finishing with a goal and assist in a 3-0 win over South Florida. Hathorne assisted on the winning goal and added an insurance goal during the first 5:05 of match time.

Honorable Mention
Macie Murphy, So., GK, UAB
Murphy was credited with five saves in a 3-0 shutout of North Texas, the third solo clean sheet for Murphy this season.

Grace Keighley, Jr., M, Charlotte
Keighley attempted a team-high four shots on goal and assisted on both goals in the run of play for Charlotte in a 3-1 victory at Tulsa.

Isabella Gutierrez, 5th, M, East Carolina
Gutierrez registered a goal and an assist in a 2-2 draw against Temple, scoring the equalizer on a penalty kick with just 14 seconds remaining in regulation.

Lily Holden, So., GK, Florida Atlantic
Holden was credited with six saves in a 3-0 shutout of South Florida, the first of the season for Holden.

Eileen Albers, Sr., D, Rice
Albers played the full 90 minutes for a Rice back line that yielded six shots on goal in a 3-0 shutout at UTSA. Albers also scored the match-winning goal on a penalty kick in the 30th minute.
