IRVING, Texas – The American Conference has announced the first weekly swimming and diving honors of the 2026 season.
Swimming Athlete of the Week
Eliza Lennox, So., Tulane
Lennox was one of the top individual performers at the FIU TYR Fall Classic that was held from Oct. 2-3 at the Doral Central Park Aquatic Center in Doral, Florida. Lennox earned two individual wins during the meet, capturing the 50 freestyle with a near NCAA B-cut time of 22.62 and adding a victory in the 100 freestyle with a time of 50.65.
Freshman Swimming Athlete of the Week
Ava Vercollone, East Carolina
Vercollone made a dynamic debut for East Carolina at the FIU TYR Fall Classic Oct. 2-3 in Florida. Vercollone captured the 400 IM with a finals time of 4:24.78 and added a second-place showing in the 500 freestyle after touching the wall in 5:00.95.
Diving Athlete of the Week
Dhavgely Mendoza, Jr., FIU
Mendoza made an impact for FIU to start the season during the FIU TYR Fall Classic on Oct. 2-3 in Florida. Mendoza captured the B Final of the 3-meter dive with an NCAA Zone score of 283.35 points, and added a runner-up showing off the 1-meter board with a score of 246.35 points.
Freshman Diving Athlete of the Week
Fiona Keilly, Tulane
Keilly debuted for Tulane during the FIU TYR Fall Classic on Oct. 2-3 in Doral, Florida. Keilly scored 243.35 points off the 3-meter board to place third in the A Final and tallied 205.95 points in the 1-meter competition.
