IRVING, Texas – The American Conference has announced the weekly baseball honors for the third week of the regular season.
Player of the Week
Christian Hallmark, So., OF, UTSA
Hallmark helped lead the Roadrunners to a 4-0 week, including a 3-game sweep of Dallas Baptist, and a 7-0 start to the season by hitting .455 (5-for-11) with three runs scored, a home run and seven runs driven in. He reached base at least twice in all four wins and had RBI in three contests.
Pitcher of the Week
Sean Jenkins, So., East Carolina
Pitched 4.2 innings of scoreless relief and earned the win against No. 10 North Carolina while also striking out seven Tar Heels. He also added three scoreless innings against Campbell earlier in the week.
Honorable Mention
Spencer Nolan, Sr., UTL, Charlotte
Hit .588 (10-for-17) for the week with four runs scored, one home run and four RBI as the 49ers went 3-1, including a sweep of Wright State.
Joseph Taylor, Jr., P, Charlotte
Tossed 5.1 innings of relief, earning the win while only allowing three hits and one run with eight strikeouts in a victory over Wright State.
Jeremiah Arnett, Jr., P, Rice
Earned the win over Purdue, allowing one earned run on four hits in 6.1 innings of work.
Tanner Chun, So., OF, Tulane
Hit. 556 (5-for-9) with six runs scored, two doubles and four runs driven in during a 3-1 week for the Green Wave, including a sweep over Harvard.
Jack Frankel, So., P, Tulane
Earned a complete-game win for the Green Wave, allowing one run on seven hits in a 7-inning 11-1 win over Harvard.
