PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Michael Senay, Fr., RHP, South Florida
Senay through 7 1/3 shutout innings, allowing five hits, no runs, no walks, and six strikeouts in a 2-0 win over Columbia.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
James Smith IV, OF/DH, Memphis
Smith went 9-for-16 (.600) with five extra base hits, including three home runs, and 16 RBI. He had three hits in all three games, highlighted by a two-home run, 7 RBI game vs. Eastern Illinois in which he belted a three-run homer and a grand slam. Smith also hit a three-run home in the series finale and drove in six runs.
HONORABLE MENTION
Gavin Van Kempen, Sr., RHP, East Carolina
Threw six shutout innings, allowing four hits and no runs with 14 strikeouts.
John Martinez, RS-So., 2B, Florida Atlantic
Batted .471 (8-for-17) with three RBI and two runs scored, including three multi-hit games.
Webb Kutter-Gage, RS-Fr., 3B, Rice
Hit .643 (9-for-14) with a pair of doubles and five runs scored.
Drew Detlefsen, Sr., OF, UTSA
Batted .500 (9-for-18), with a pair of doubles, two home runs, and five RBI with three multi-hit games.
Jaden Gustafson, Sr., OF, Wichita State
Posted four multi-hit games, hitting .500 (11-for-22) with three doubles, one home run, and nine RBI.
