IRVING, Texas – The American Conference has announced the weekly baseball honors for the fourth week of the regular season.
Player of the Week
Owen Washburn, R-Sr., DH, Wichita State
Washburn hit .625 (10-for-16) with four multi-hit games (two three-hit, two two-hit). He hit one home run with four RBI and six runs scored as the Shockers won three times last week.
Pitcher of the Week
Trey Cehajic, Gr., Tulane
Cehajic threw a career-high 7.0 shutout innings, allowing just one hit and one walk with a career-high 11 strikeouts in a win over Eastern Kentucky.
Honorable Mention
Alex Dupuy, Jr., INF, UAB
Dupuy hit .412 (7-for-17), with three doubles, four RBI, and five runs in four games as the Blazers went 3-1.
Dylan Koontz, Gr., DH, Charlotte
In four games, Koontz hit .500 (6-for-12) with one home run, six RBI and five runs scored in three wins for the 49ers.
Nick Romano, R-Sr., 3B, Florida Atlantic
Romano hit .571 (8-for-14) with one home run, six RBI, and five runs scored in four games (three wins) for the Owls.
Michael Senay, Fr., RHP, South Florida
Pitched seven shutout innings, allowing four hits and one walk with five strikeouts vs. Central Florida.
Drew Detlefsen, Sr., OF, UTSA
Batted .571 (8-for-18) with three home runs, six RBI, and six runs scored, including two-homer game in win vs. Coastal Carolina.
