IRVING, Texas – The American Conference has announced the winners of the 2026 American Indoor Track & Field Most Outstanding Performance awards, with student-athletes from East Carolina, North Texas, Rice, UTSA and Wichita State collecting honors following the American Indoor Track & Field Championships meet on February 27-28.
The awards are presented to student-athletes who recorded the highest-ranking marks on the NCAA's Division I performance list during last week's American Indoor Track & Field Championships. North Texas’ Henrick Hundl, Wichita State’s Josh Parrish, Rice’s Cal Abdulky, East Carolina’s Kelly Ufodiama and UTSA’s Ida Breigan were each recognized for exemplary meet marks.
Men’s Track Most Outstanding Track Performance
Hendrick Hundl, Sr., North Texas
Hundl took home the gold medal in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 7.70 seconds, pushing him up to No. 31 in the NCAA performance lists.
Josh Parrish, Jr., Wichita State
Parrish finished in second place in the 60-meter hurdle finals, but during preliminary runs, ran a 7.70 second race to improve his ranking to No. 31 in the nation.
Men’s Track Most Outstanding Field Performance
Cal Abdulky, Sr., Rice
Abdulky won the gold medal in the weight throw with a mark of 21.96 meters. The throw vaulted him up to No. 24 in the NCAA on the season.
Women’s Track Most Outstanding Track Performance
Kelly Ufodiama, So., East Carolina
Ufodiama added to her trophy case with gold medals in the 60-meter and 200-meter dashes, but her 200-meter dash time of 22.89 seconds was the 11
th fastest in the nation this season.
Women’s Track Most Outstanding Field Performance
Ida Breigan, Jr., UTSA
Breigan earned the gold medal in long jump with a leap of 6.52 meters, increasing her best mark to No. 9 in the nation.
