Charlotte, Temple, Vanderbilt Earn Women's Lacrosse Weekly Honors

IRVING, Texas – The American Conference has announced the weekly women’s lacrosse honors: 
  
Attack Player of the Week
Isa Torres, Junior, Charlotte  
Torres totaled 14 points in a 2-0 week for the 49ers. She posted her second consecutive eight-point game, notching four goals along with a career-high four assists in a win over Winthrop, and followed that up with four goals and a pair of assists in a win over Stetson. 

Defensive Player of the Week
Kaitlyn Stankavage, Senior, Temple 
Stankavage had seven draw controls, four ground balls, and five caused turnovers in a pair of games last week. She had a season-high tying four draw controls against Towson, and then caused five turnovers and had four ground balls against Rutgers. 

Freshman of the Week
Sophia Rakis, Attack, Charlotte 
Rakis became the first player in the American and one of five freshmen this season to record a nine-point game, scoring five goals and assisting another four in a win over Winthrop. She then had three goals and two assists in a win over Stetson. 

Goalkeeper of the Week
Katie Ling, Senior, Charlotte 
Ling recorded 12 saves in an undefeated week for Charlotte, highlighted by a 10-save performance against Winthrop.  

Midfielder of the Week
Gabby Putman, Freshman, Vanderbilt  
Putman totaled 11 draw controls, one goal, one assist, and three ground balls in matches against Eastern Michigan and Ohio State. 

Honorable Mention 

Brynn Bowen, Senior, Goalkeeper, Old Dominion 

Bowen had 12 saves, five ground balls, and forced five turnovers in a pair of matches against Furman and Winthrop 

Jules Mills, Freshman, Attack, Old Dominion 
Mills tallied five goals, two assists, three ground balls, and 11 draw controls. 

Olivia Ringo, Senior, Defender, James Madison  
Ringo forced a career-high four turnovers and six ground balls in a pair of games last week. 

Sarah Gowman, Junior, Attack, Temple 
Gowman had eight total points, two assists, seven ground balls and forced two turnovers in pair of matches. 

Natalie Calandra-Ryan, Graduate Student, Attack, Old Dominion 
Had three goals, four assists, three ground balls, eight draw controls, and five turnovers in two games.
