COLUMBUS, Ohio– In a historic performance, the Memphis Tigers men’s golf team punched its ticket to the NCAA Men’s Golf Championship after finishing third at the NCAA Columbus Regional at the OSU Golf Club-Scarlet Course on Wednesday in Columbus.
This will mark Memphis’ first trip to the NCAA Championships since 2012. The top five teams from the regional advanced to the NCAA Championships, which will be held May 29-June 3 at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad.
Sophomore Christian Morneau led the Tigers with a runner-up finish, carding a 1-over 214 across the three-day tournament. Cian O’Connor also turned in a strong performance, tying for 11th at 6-over 219.
Yixiang Wang and Diego Lourenco, the 2026 American Men’s Golf Championship individual champion, each finished tied for 27th after posting 10-over 223. Tobey Kim rounded out the Memphis lineup with an 18-over 231.
