IRVING, Texas – American Conference student-athletes earned qualification into the 2026 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field Championships after advancing through the preliminary rounds held at first round sites in Lexington, Kentucky and Fayetteville, Arkansas from May 27–30. A total of 27 athletes representing American institutions have punched their ticket to the NCAA DI Outdoor Track & Field Championships, to be held June 10-13 in Eugene, Oregon.
 
South Florida led the conference with six total qualifiers, with both the men’s 4x100 and 4x400 relay teams earning bids to Eugene. East Carolina and Rice followed with five individual qualifiers each, which included Rice heptathlete Alice Taylor who clinched her championship spot prior to the first round meets, and UTSA advanced four student-athletes to nationals. Wichita State will send three competitors, North Texas boasted two qualifiers and Tulane and Tulsa will each have one representative.
 
Four student-athletes from the American qualified in multiple events. South Florida’s Jaleel Croal qualified in the men’s 200-meter dash and 4x100-meter relay, with teammates Nathan Metelus and Alexavier Monfries also a part of both relay squads. Wichita State’s Josh Parrish posted qualifying standards in both the men’s 110-meter hurdles and the long jump.
