    Term through June 2026

    Hi!

Welcome to the American Athletic Conference SAAC page! Our mission is to enhance and advocate for the experience of student-athletes at the campus, conference, and national levels. By participating in meaningful community service projects and promoting impactful initiatives, AAC student-athletes are making a difference in our communities every day.

American SAAC participates in monthly discussions surrounding current events in the NCAA. We share our collective experiences, creating a unified and resilient community within the conference.

My name is Madelyn Fox, and I’m a senior on the women’s rowing team at Temple University. I recently completed my Bachelor’s of Science in Kinesiology, and am currently pursuing a master’s degree in Sport Business with a concentration in Athletic Administration.

I’m beyond grateful for the opportunity to serve as the NCAA Division I SAAC Representative for the American Athletic Conference in addition to serving as the chair of our conference SAAC. It is my priority to ensure that the voices of student-athletes are heard. I am committed to using the platform American SAAC has to make valuable change within collegiate athletics. As one of 32 Division I student-athletes in the country currently serving on DI SAAC, I represent our conference’s values and opinions on a national level.

Being involved in SAAC has opened doors to networking opportunities and connections with administrators, coaches, and peers across different sports. These interactions have broadened my perspective and shaped my future aspirations, inspiring me to pursue a career in athletic administration where I hope to make a positive impact in the future. SAAC has not only enriched my college experience but has also set me on a path of purposeful leadership and advocacy that I am excited to continue beyond my time as a student-athlete. I am grateful for  the support that Temple Athletics, The American, and the NCAA have provided throughout my journey as a Division I student-athlete.

In an era of transformative change in collegiate athletics, the student-athlete voice matters now more than ever. American SAAC is committed to protecting the values of student-athletes through these times. It is my honor to lead this group in such a pivotal time.

    With gratitude,

    Madelyn Fox
