Delaney Gordon joined the American staff in March of 2022 and was promoted to her current role of senior director of sport administration and championships in 2025.
She serves as the American’s primary staff liaison for women’s soccer, men’s and women’s swimming and diving, men’s and women’s tennis and women’s lacrosse.
Gordon came to the American after serving as assistant director for facilities and event operations at the University of Houston since 2020.
At Houston, Gordon was the Cougars’ primary event manager for women’s soccer, track and field and softball and was on the event management staff for football and men’s basketball.
She was coordinator of facilities, operations and events at the University of Maryland for one year and also has event management experience at Auburn University and the University of Michigan.
Gordon holds a bachelor’s degree in sport management from Michigan and a master’s degree in higher education administration from Auburn.
