Ethan Hamilton joined the American staff in 2025 as assistant director, social and digital content.
Hamilton executes the strategic creation, curation and managment of content across the American's various social media platforms. As part of the conference's external relations team, he is a key part of the development and execution of a cohesive content strategy that aligns with the American's overall branding and goals.
Hamilton is no stranger to the American after he served as a contracted vendor in creative and social media in support of the conference's 2024 and 2025 basketball championships and the 2024 football and basketball media days. He also provided social media support during the 2024 football regular season.
Before joining the American, Hamilton was a vendor with USA Basketball, where he supported the U16 AmeriCup and FIBA U19 World Cup content strategies, managing the official USA Basketball accounts across TikTok, Instagram and X. His work generated more than 13 million impressions and 500,000 engagements across the USA Basketball platforms in less than four months.
Hamilton additionally served as a digital content assistant with Spurs Sports & Entertainment, where he produced content on behalf of the San Antonio Spurs, SAFC and Spurs Way.
Hamilton is a graduate of Texas State University, where he earned a bachelor's degree in electronic media and mass communications.
