Highlights
 
- The Knights captured the Florida Runners Invitational team title on Friday evening with eight UCF competitors finished among the top 15 Division I runners and five more landing in the top eight on the 5K course at Holloway Park. Kalleigh Forrester was the top finisher for UCF, and was the fastest Division I competitor with a time of 19:45.6.
 
- Two American schools ran at the 44th Annual Paul Short Run hosted by Lehigh on Friday. The UConn men's cross country team finished eighth of 40 teams. The top Husky finisher on the men’s side on the day was Patrick Begley, who finished in 20th place of 359 runners in a time of 24:00.
 
The UConn women finished 16th of 42 teams competing in the event, which included nationally ranked Villanova (15), Utah State (21), Georgetown (23) and Mississippi State (24). UConn's top finisher on the course was freshman Brianna O'Brien, who finished 79th of 368 runners with a time of 21:05.
 
Bakri Abushouk tied the ECU record in the men's 8K with a time of 25:53. Both the men and women finished 29th in a field of over 40 teams.
 
- Three more conference teams geared up for the Notre Dame/Joe Piane Invitational to face a strong field in South Bend, Ind. Emmanuel Rotich claimed the individual title in men's five mile Gold Race with a time of 24:17.4 for the Tulane men. However, Temple won the Gold Race to capture, as the men captured their third straight title. Temple's top-finisher was freshman Kristian Jensen who finished the five-mile course in 24:48.2 to place sixth overall.
 
Temple women's cross country earned second place in the 5K Gold Race. Grace Moore was Temple's top finisher in a time of 17:29.2 (6th). For Tulane, Lauren Bartels and sophomore Sarah Cella each set new personal records in the women's 5K Blue Race en route to finishing 20th overall.
 
Wichita State's men were 20th in the five mile Blue Race and the women were 12th in the 5K Gold Race. Nathan Wickoren was the men's top finisher with an 89th place finish in 25:03.7, and Winny Koskei led the women's team as the top runner finishing in 28th place with a time of 18:01.9. The Shockers also sent five men and two women to compete at the Rim Rock Classic in Lawrence, Kan., Saturday morning. Kyle Larkin led the Shocker men finishing the 8K in 15th place with a time of 25:31.8, and Deidra Walker finished the 6K in 37th place with a time of 24:23.0.
 
- Both Cincinnati cross country teams took part in the annual All-Ohio Cross Country Championships Saturday afternoon with both teams getting strong performances up front at the meet contested at the Elvin R. King Cross Country Course in Cedarville, Ohio. Madison Dunlap was the top finisher for the women as she placed 17th overall with a personal best of over two minutes in a 6,000m race while Nick Grismer was the top men's finisher, placing 23rd overall in the men's 8,000m competition.

Highlights
 
- Benjamin Preisner finished fourth in the 8K race to lead the No. 22 Tulsa men's cross country team to a fifth-place finish at the Cowboy Jamboree on Saturday morning. The Tulsa women's squad finished sixth behind Ashley Barnes, who placed 19th. Preisner, who finished his first race of the fall, crossed the line at 24:40.3 for his highest individual finish since he placed second at last season's American Athletic Conference Championship. In the women's 6K race, Barnes led the way with her time of 21:45.5.
 
- Memphis’ Julian Sanchez-Pinto won the men's individual crown and senior Arnica Zitting finished second in the women's race to lead the Tigers cross country men's and women's teams at the 2017 Greater Louisville Classic Saturday. Sanchez-Pinto won the men's 8k Blue Race in a time of 25:05.12, crossing the line over eight seconds ahead of the second-place finisher. Zitting placed second in the women's 5k Blue Race in a time of 17:56.51.
