Highlights
 
- Temple men's cross country snagged its second straight first-place team finish this season at the 2017 Rider Invite. Marc Steinsberger won the individual title for the second year in a row. Steinsberger was the Owls' top finisher with a time of 24:56.11 in the 8K. The women’s team also raced to win on Friday at the 2017 Rider Invite with Owls dominating the top five. Overall the squad bested the field of five schools with its second first-place team finish of the season. Grace Moore was the top finisher for the Owls. In first place, she finished with a time of 22:04.72.
 
- Another event, another strong outing for the UConn women’s cross country team as it finished in first place of the UB Stampede Invitational on Friday at the Audubon Golf Course. Five runners for UConn finished in the top seven. Mia Nahom completed the course in 21:46.3, good for an average mile of 5:50.4 and a second-place finish.
 
 - The ECU men's and women's cross country teams trekked over to Cary, N.C. Friday evening for the adidas XC Challenge. The men placed fourth against a tough field while the women ended up in sixth.

Highlights
 
- Nicole Lee took fourth in the women's 5K to lead The University of Tulsa women's cross country team to a first-place finish at the Southern Stampede on Saturday morning. The No. 21 men's team placed 15th.
 
- Wichita State's men's cross country team finished with five Shockers in the top 15 to win the Southern Stampede in Joplin, Mo., hosted by Missouri Southern State University. Nathan Wickoren led the team finishing the 8K in third place with a time of 24:44.33 and Joe Harter rounded out the top five with a time of 24:49.05. On the women's side, the Shockers finished fourth overall behind Dallas Baptist, Oklahoma Baptist and first place Tulsa.
 
- The Tulane women captured four top five finishing spots at the LSU Invitational in the 5k run. Emma Newton and Lauren Bartels finished first and second, respectively, while Bridgid Selfors took the fourth spot and Mckenzie Melius grabbed fifth. On the men's side, senior Moses Aloiloi led the squad to a fourth-place finish, taking the fourth overall spot.
 
- Memphis Arnica Zitting and Matthew Kamph paced the Tigers men's and women's cross country squads to second-place finishes at the 2017 Rhodes College Invitational Saturday. Zitting won the women's 5k individual crown Saturday, placing first in a time of 18:13.8. She became the second Tiger in 20 years  to win two races in the same season. Kamph was the Tigers men's top finisher, coming in third in a time of 25.54.5.
 
- Following a 13-day break from competition, the Bulls were eager to resume their season at the Asics Embry-Riddle Classic on Saturday and it showed in the results. Starting at 7:20 a.m., the men's team raced ahead early in the 8k, notching four, top 15 finishes and second place overall at the meet. John Weaver finished first among the Bulls and third overall with a time of 27:01.36. On the women's side, Rania Samhouri outpaced her fellow teammates, placing eighth in the 5k (20:25.12).
 
-  Charlotte-Tara Murphy led the pack from start to finish to lead SMU to the Gerald Richey Invitational team title Saturday at Lynn Creek Park. The Mustangs claimed the top-five spots to win with 15 points, while UT Arlington finished second with 42 points.
