Highlights
 
- Sophomore Susan Aneno led the way for UConn, turning in a 19:08 clip as the first Husky to cross the finish line. Despite weather conditions, Aneno turned in a strong performance in her first race of the season.

Highlights
 
- Brian Barraza made his return to the cross country course with an impressive win at the Texas A&M Invitational, while the Cougar Men’s and Women’s teams finished fifth and seventh, respectively, on Saturday at Watts Cross Country Course. Barraza pulled away late to cross the line first in 23:51.5.

On the women’s side, Jennifer Dunlap made her season debut while finishing as the Cougars’ top finisher in the meet. Dunlap crossed the line in 21:56.9 to finish 24th with Meredith Sorensen finishing right on her heels in 25th at 21:57.6.
 
- Memphis Matthew Kamph won the men's title, and Mary Betsy Minkler was the Tigers' women's top finisher in leading the cross country squads to a sweep of the team crowns at the 2017 Austin Peay Festival Saturday for the second straight year. Kamph won his first collegiate race in a time of 18:14.0, which was 13 seconds ahead of his teammate and second-place finisher Matthew Viveiros. On the women's side, Minkler was second overall in a time of 18:17.9.
 
- Charlotte-Tara Murphy finished fifth overall to lead SMU to a third-place finish at the Virginia/Panorama Invitational Saturday at Panorama Farms. Murphy led a trio of Mustangs that finished in the top-20 on the five kilometer course with a time of 17:39.7.
 
- John Weaver was once again the top male runner for the Bulls. He finished the 8k in 26:06.1, placing 17th overall in a field of over 200 runners at the Mountain Invitational hosted by Florida. Weaver set a personal best on the course by about a minute and has been the fastest male runner in each of USF's first three meets.
 
- Nearly every member of the UCF cross country turned in a season-best time to help the Knights to a sixth place finish at the Mountain Dew Invitational on Saturday morning. For the second straight meet, Beth Williams was the top Knight finisher. She crossed the line in a personal-best time of 18:42.1 for 21st place.
 
Rania Samhouri was the top USF performer on the female side. The Tampa native completed the 5k in 19:01.8, 39th overall. Like Weaver, Samhouri has also been the fastest female Bull in all three meets.
