Highlights
Cincinnati 2, Eastern Kentucky 1
Brandi Thompson's goal in the 69th minute stood up as the gamewinner as the Bearcats rallied from a 1-0 halftime deficit to take a 2-1 win against Eastern Kentucky in the season-opener at Gettler Stadium.

Kiki Lowell's goal off a free kick in the 64th minute tied the match at 1-1, and Thomsen found paydirt almost five minutes later when she knocked in a loose ball that was tipped past the goalkeeper.

Claudia Eustaquio made two saves in goal for the Bearcats (1-0-0), who visit No. 8 Virginia Sunday.

Memphis 4, Omaha 0
Four players scored goals and goalkeeper Elizabeth Moberg needed to make only one save to get the shutout as Memphis opened with a 4-0 victory against Omaha at the Mike Rose Soccer Complex.

The Tigers scored twice in each half as Elizabeth Woerner and Clarissa Larisey found the back of the net in the first 18 minutes. Samantha Murphy and Kimberley Smit added insurance goals in the second half as Memphis overwhelmed Omaha to the tune of a 20-2 advantage in shots and an 8-0 cushion in corner kicks.

Memphis (1-0-0) will host Central Arkansas Sunday in the second of three straight home matches to open the season.

SMU 2, DePaul 1
Allie Thornton scored a pair of first-half goals and Samantha Estrada came off the bench to make four second-half saves to lead SMU past DePaul in the season-opener at Westcott Field.

Thornton, a two-time first-team all-conference selection, scored in the 10th and 17th minutes to stake the Mustangs to an early 2-0 lead as SMU had a 6-2 advantage in shots in the first 45 minutes. The Bule Demons threatened in the second half, but were unable to get on the board until the 87th minute.

SMU (1-0-0) takes to the road for the first time Sunday with a match at Long Beach State.

USF 2, Towson 1 (OT)
Fanny Pelletier-Laroche headed in a corner kick 4:13 into the first overtime period for her first career goal as USF battled through a number of rain delays and rallied past Towson 2-1 in the season-opener at Corbett Stadium.

Pelletier-Laroche came up big on a long corner from Andrea Hauksdottir to give USF a positive result on a night in which the Bulls registered a 19-3 advantage in shots. Hauksdottir assisted on both USF goals as she set up Aubrey Megrath's goal in the 48th minute to tie the match at 1-1.

USF (1-0-0) heads to Auburn Sunday for its first road match of the season.

Tulsa vs. Oklahoma State
Tulsa's scheduled season-opener against Oklahoma State was postponed due to inclement weather and will be rescheduled at a later date. The Golden Hurricane will host Missouri State Sunday at Hurricane Stadium.
