Memphis and Tulsa picked up home wins, while Tulane came from behind on the road to win in American Athletic Conference men's basketball action Saturday (Feb. 22).

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) -- Teshaun Hightower scored 18 points and the last of his four steals led to Nic Thomas making three free throws with 7.8 seconds remaining and Tulane rallied past UCF 75-74 on Saturday
Tulane's Jordan Walker swiped the ball from UCF's Tony Johnson Jr. with three seconds remaining to seal the comeback. Tulane recorded 13 steals, scoring 17 points off 17 UCF turnovers.
K.J. Lawson led the Green Wave (12-15, 4-11 American Athletic Conference) with 21 points, making five 3-pointers, Christion Thompson added 15 points with nine rebounds. Thomas, who was 5-for-5 at the line, finished with eight points. Hightower also had five assists and Walker six steals.
Tulane, which snapped a nine-game losing streak earlier in the week, has now won its last two, rallying from 10 points down five times in the second half and outscoring the Knights 16-5 in the final 4:20.
Collin Smith had 16 points and 13 rebounds for the Knights (14-12, 5-9). Johnson added 15 points. Darin Green Jr. and Brandon Mahan each added 12 points.
Memphis 60, No. 22 Houston 59 -

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) -- Precious Achiuwa scored 10 points, including the go-ahead free throw with 28.2 seconds left, and Memphis beat No. 22 Houston 60-59 on Saturday.
Malcolm Dandridge scored 12 points and Lester Quinones and Tyler Harris had 10 points apiece as Memphis (19-8, 8-6 American Athletic Conference) won its second straight.
Caleb Mills led Houston (21-7, 11-4) with 21 points and Marcus Sasser added 18 points for the Cougars. Mills' jumper with 4 seconds left was off the mark. Houston missed its last four shots.
Houston was without guard Quentin Grimes, its second-leading scorer at 11.8 points per game. Grimes was dealing with a hip pointer.
The Cougars were forced to play catch-up for much of the game.
Sasser's 3-pointer gave Houston the lead with just under seven minutes left. It started a string of nine straight points for Sasser.
The teams exchanged leads down the stretch. Mills converted a pair of free throws with 47 seconds left to tie it at 59. Achiuwa then made the second of two free throws for the final margin.
By the midway point of the first half, neither team was shooting well. Memphis, which struggled early, managed to take the lead.
The Tigers put together enough of an offensive push during the middle stages of the first half to build the lead to eight points on a couple of occasions. Memphis led 27-23 at halftime with Houston shooting 26% from the field.
Tulsa 79, SMU 57 -

TULSA, Okla. (AP) -- Martins Igbanu scored 23 points on 9-of-13 shooting and grabbed nine rebounds to lead Tulsa to a 79-57 win over SMU 79-57 on Saturday.
Lawson Korita scored 14 points for Tulsa (18-9, 10-4 American Athletic Conference), which shot 59% in the second half to break the game open. Darien Jackson added 12 points. The Golden Hurricanes are a half-game behind league-leading Houston, which lost at Memphis 60-59 earlier in the day.
The Golden Hurricanes retired the No. 32 jersey of legend Bobby ''Bingo'' Smith in the first half and honored the 2000 Elite Eight team. Smith, who played from 1965-69 before an 11-year NBA career mostly with Cleveland, averaged 17.8 points and 9.5 rebounds in 77 games. He was Missouri Valley Conference MVP and a second-team Associated Press All-American after averaging 24.5 points and 10.3 rebounds as a senior. The Cavaliers retired Smith's No. 7 in 1979.
Tyson Jolly had 18 points for the Mustangs (18-8, 8-6). Isiaha Mike added 13 points. Kendric Davis had 10 points.
The Golden Hurricanes had a 10-point lead midway through the second half when they scored nine straight points and turned that into a 15-2 run.
