TAMPA, Florida -- Javon Greene hit a 3-pointer to secure a come-from-behind victory for South Florida over North Carolina A&T, 56-54. With the win, the Bulls improved to 2-1, while the Aggies fell to 0-3.
The Bulls trailed by as many as 14 at 49-35 with 8:28 remaining, but finished the game on a 21-5 run to come back and set up Greene's three.
Caleb Murphy and Jamir Chaplin led South Florida with 12 points apiece, while David Beatty and Tyler Maye each scored 14 for the Aggies.

DALLAS (AP) — Marcus Weathers had 22 points and 11 rebounds, SMU scored the first 16 points and the Mustangs cruised to a 95-48 rout of Northwestern State on Monday night.
SMU (2-1) rebounded from a 23-point loss to then 13th-ranked Oregon, shooting 52% (35 of 67) overall and 39% (11 of 28) from long range against Northwestern State (1-3).
Weathers, a transfer from Duquesne, shot 8 of 12 from the floor and had five assists and two steals. Kendric Davis added 19 points and 10 assists for SMU. Emmanuel Bandoumel had 14 points, Zach Nutall 13 and Stefan Todorovic 11.
Kendal Coleman scored 20 points on 10-of-15 shooting from the field to lead the Demons.
Davis scored 14 points and Bandoumel had 11 as the Mustangs built a 50-20 halftime advantage. Davis’ 3-pointer stretched the Mustangs’ lead to 42 points midway through the second half.
The Mustangs have won all eight in the series dating to 1953.
Tulsa 64, Oregon State 58 -

TULSA, Okla. (AP) — Jeriah Horne had 17 points and 10 rebounds, and Tulsa scored the last four points to beat Oregon State 64-58 on Monday night.
Oregon State (1-2) scored seven straight points, highlighted by a Jarod Lucas 3-pointer, to pull to 60-58 with 48 seconds to play. Rey Idowu then made a pair of free throws for Tulsa and Lucas missed a 3 on the other end. Darien Jackson sealed it with two more free throws.
Horne, who returned to Tulsa after a season at Colorado, was 6 of 13 from the floor and collected his sixth career double-double. Sam Griffin added 13 points for the Golden Hurricane (2-1). Idowu finished with 11 points and eight rebounds.
Maurice Calloo made five 3-pointers and scored 20 points on 6-of-11 shooting from the floor to lead the Beavers. Rodrigue Andela added 10 points and Lucas had nine points on three 3-pointers.
