ECU, Memphis, USF Earn Women's Soccer Weekly Honors

IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly women’s soccer awards.
 
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Carsen Parker, Sr., D, East Carolina
Parker scored a brace, including the overtime winner, and added an assist in the Pirates’ 3-2 win at SMU on March 21.
 
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Kimberley Smit, Jr., D, Memphis
Smit led the Tiger defense in only allowing three shots on goal in two wins last week, while also adding the game-winning goal at Cincinnati.
 
GOALKEEPER OF THE WEEK
Sydney Martinez, Jr., USF
Martinez made a pair of saves and organized the defense in the Bulls’ 2-1 win over in-state rival UCF on March 21.
 
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Haylee Spray, D, Memphis
Spray was part of the Memphis defense that only allowed three shots on goal in a pair of wins and also scored a goal at Temple.
 
HONOR ROLL
Jazmin Grant, Sr., F, Houston
Grant scored a goal and added an assist in the Cougars’ 4-1 win over Tulsa on March 21.
 
Lisa Pechersky, R-Sr., M/F, Memphis
Pechersky had a goal in each of the Tigers’ two wins last week, including the game-winning goal at Temple.
 
Sydny Nasello, Jr., F, USF
Nasello scored a goal and provided an assist in the Bulls’ 2-1 win over in-state rival UCF on March 21.
 
Sabrina Wagner, Sr., M, USF
Wagner scored a goal in USF’s 2-1 win over UCF and helped the defense only allow three shots on goal.
 
Jewel Boland, Sr., F, SMU
Boland totaled seven points last week in a 1-1 week for the Mustangs, scoring three goals and adding one assist.
