IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly women’s soccer awards.
 
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Tanya Boychuk, Jr., MF, Memphis
Boychuk scored two goals, including the overtime winner, in Memphis’ 3-2 win over No. 6 Vanderbilt, the first top-10 win in program history.
 
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Alli Pestaina, Jr., D, Cincinnati
Pestaina anchored a Bearcat backline that conceded only one goal in 185 minutes in a pair of wins, including an overtime shutout of Houston. Against East Carolina, the junior scored the game-winning goal and assisted on the opening goal.
 
GOALKEEPER OF THE WEEK
Kamryn Stablein, Jr, Temple
Stablein made four saves and recorded a clean sheet in the Owls’ 2-0 win on the road at Tulsa.
 
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Róisín McGovern, D, Temple
McGovern scored a goal in the Owls’ 2-0 win at Tulsa and aided the defense in recording a shutout.
 
HONOR ROLL

Battle scored the game-winning goal in overtime against Houston on Wednesday, March 24.
