IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly women’s soccer awards for the seventh week of the 2022 season.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Chiara Hahn, So., M, South Florida
In South Florida’s 1-0 conference win over SMU on Thursday night in Dallas, Hahn scored the lone goal of the contest in the 19
th minute.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Lindsey Aiken, So., D, East Carolina
Aiken led the Pirate backline to a shutout of Tulsa in a scoreless draw on Thursday night. The Pirates only allowed a single shot on goal.
GOALKEEPER OF THE WEEK
Haley Woodward, R-Fr., Houston
Woodward made 16 saves over two matches for the Cougars. She recorded seven in a draw with Memphis on Thursday and then made nine saves in a clean sheet on Sunday in a 1-0 win over UTSA.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Alex Whitcraft, D/M, Houston
Whitcraft provided an assist in both of Houston’s games last week, a 2-2 draw at Memphis and a 1-0 victory over UTSA.

Gear scored the game-winning goal in the 82
