WICHITA, Kan. -- Wichita State pulled away in the second half on the way to a 58-48 win over Tulsa at Koch Arena.
With the win, the Shockers improved to 11-8 on the season and 2-5 in American Athletic Conference play, while Tulsa fell to 7-13 (1-8 American).
The game was tied at 37 nine minutes into the second half before Wichita State went on a 12-3 run to pull away.
Ricky Council IV came off the bench to lead the Shockers with 11 points, while Tyson Etienne added 10. Sam Griffin led Tulsa with a game-high 17 points.
