The changing perception of student-athletes being compensated through name, image, and likeness (NIL) opportunities represents a significant evolution in college athletics policy. Student-Athlete Mental Health: Utilizing Teammates to Foster Help-Seeking
Seek to understand how teammate interactions can be leveraged to foster a help-seeking environment to better address student-athlete mental health. To better serve student-athletes, a mixed-method approach will identify the characteristics of teammates most likely to be sought for and give help and examine how the quality of teammate help-giving can be improved.
