14 Players to Watch in 2014: UCF's Briahanna Jackson

Briahanna Jackson, 5-4, Sophomore, Guard, UCF

Sophomore Briahanna Jackson is just getting started in her career with UCF but she is already proving to be one of the most prolific players ever to don the Black and Gold.

Though we are early in the conference play, Jackson leads the league in scoring at 26.0 points per game. She’s had two 30+ games this season and put up all-star numbers vs. No. 1 UConn on January 1. The guard had a game-high 28 points versus the Huskies – the most points allowed by a UConn opposing player this season – on 11-for-22 shooting from the field. The Tampa native also had a career-outing from beyond the arc, knocking down 6-of-10 3-point attempts.

A 2013-14 preseason American All-Conference pick, Jackson is coming off of a stellar rookie campaign that saw her set a school record in steals (108, tops for a single season) and earn Freshman of the Year honors from Conference USA.

NOTE:
You can watch Briahanna and the Knights take on the Temple Owls today at 2pm ET on The American Digital Network.
