No. 19/19 UCF won back-to-back games on Saturday, taking out Hawaii and No. 17/16 Washington, in the Bank of Hawai’i Invitational. The game against Washington was won in five innings and crowned the Knights the invitational champions. Jessica Ujvari had four RBIs in he win over the Huskies.
UConn and Houston also picked up wins during competition. Alyson Amber led UConn over Northern Illinois, 8-7, posting four RBIs, in the finale game of the Troy Firehouse Invitational. She had her second home run, leading the team in that category. Houston beat Illinois in five innings, 12-2, on the final day of the Hilton Houston Plaza Classic. Tiffani McKnight had three RBIs.
East Carolina dropped a double header on the final day of the Pirate Invitational. In game one, the Pirates fell 10-8 to Seton Hall. RV/RV Virginia Tech, beat the Pirates 4-3, in game two. USF fell in five innings to No. 16/17 Auburn, 8-0.
On Wednesday, UCF will play No. 1/1 Florida at 6:05 p.m. Houston will take on No. 23/22 Texas A&M at 7:30 p.m. All times are listed as ET.?
