With a win on Sunday, UConn will advance to the national championship game against either Notre Dame or South Carolina. The Huskies have reached the National Championship game in four of the last six seasons  and own a 9-6 all-time record in NCAA National Semifinal action. With a win over Dayton in the Elite Eight, UConn matched the program's fourth-longest winning streak (35).

The Huskies have a 3-0 all-time record against Maryland in a series that dates back to 2012-13, including a 76-50 win over the Terrapins in the 2013 NCAA Regional Final played in Bridgeport, Conn. Maryland earned a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament and stands at 34-2 overall this season.

UConn topped the Flyers, 91-70, in their last time out on Monday in the Albany Regional Final. Senior Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis set a new NCAA career record in the win over Dayton after connecting on seven 3-pointers in the win. The forward has tallied 395 career treys from beyond the arc. She is 18 points shy of tying Kerry Bascom (2,177) for fourth on the school's all-time scoring list.

The Huskies have received several national honors heading into Sunday's game. Mosqueda-Lewis, Breanna Stewart, Morgan Tuck and Moriah Jefferson earned USWBA, WBCA and Associated Press All-America honors. Senior center Kiah Stokes was tabbed one of six finalists for the 2015 WBCA Defensive Player of the Year award and was named a Senior CLASS All-American.
