CINCINNATI (AP) -- Jarron Cumberland scored 17 points off the bench and Cincinnati beat Lipscomb 91-68 on Saturday.

Kyle Washington added 15 points, Jacob Evans 14 and Kevin Johnson 13 for the Bearcats (5-1), who were 31-of-59 shooting for 52.5 percent, including 8 of 17 on 3-pointers. They outscored the Bisons 21-5 at the free-throw line and turned 19 turnovers into 26 points.

Garrison Mathews scored 19 points and Josh Williams 10 for Lipscomb (2-5), which lost its fourth straight. The Bisons came in ranked eighth nationally with 58 3-pointers, averaging 9.7 a game, but they were only 7 of 27 from the arc against the Bearcats.

The Bearcats raced ahead 21-4 to open the game. They led by 12 at halftime and were up by double figures the entire second half, leading by as many as 27.

Memphis 100, Iowa 92
NICEVILLE, Fla. -- Iowa's Peter Jok won a personal scoring duel with a career high 42 points while Memphis' Dedric Lawson put up 35, but Lawson's Tigers carried the day in a back-and-forth contest for third place in the Emerald Coast Classic.

Jeremiah Martin pitched in with 14 points and hit a pair of three-pointers that brought Memphis from behind and put the Tigers ahead to stay Saturday for a 100-92 win in the consolation game.

The game featured three ties and 15 lead changes before Martin's two long-distance shots put the Tigers (5-1) up for good 68-65 after trailing Iowa (3-3) by a point early in the second half.

"That's what it's about," said Memphis coach Tubby Smith. "They've got Peter, who's their ace in the hole and the guy they go to and we have Dedric Lawson. He had a double-double for us, plus he gives up the ball. He's just a total all-around player."

K.J. Lawson had 17 points, Markel Crawford scored 16 and Craig Randall IIadded 15 points for Memphis.

"Shout out to Iowa and Peter Jok," Dedric Lawson said. "He was a phenomenal player for them tonight. I just wanted to get the win at the end of the day `cause we lost yesterday. I wanted to go home at least 1-1."

Memphis lost to Providence in the semifinals.

Jok, the Big 10's scoring leader, rebounded after No. 7 Virginia, which boasts the nation's top scoring defense, held him to only 13 points in Iowa's Friday's 74-41 semifinal loss. Jok was averaging 24.3 points per game going into Saturday's contest. Tyler Cook was the only other Hawkeye scoring in double figures with 17.

"It's a shame when you have a guy play that well that you can't ride that to victory," said Iowa Coach Fran McCaffery. "Obviously a better effort than yesterday, but (giving up) 54 points in the paint is not a recipe for success."

Virginia held Jok in check by denying him the ball and double teaming him.

"So I watched film last night and talked to my trainer," Jok said. "He sent me some clips on what I needed to do today to have a better offensive game."

Each team had a big run in the first half. Memphis opened a 12-point lead, the largest advantage for either team, with a 14-2 run that began with Crawford's three-point shot to break a 7-7 tie. Iowa immediately responded with a 16-4 run to tie the game at 25-25.

Dedric Lawson's jumper put Memphis back in the lead 27-25. Iowa never could get closer than one point behind before the half ended with Memphis up 54-51.

#--/rv UCF 67, Seattle 51
ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) -- Matt Williams scored 20 points and made 6 of 12 3-pointers, Tacko Fall grabbed 15 rebounds and blocked four shots and UCF beat Seattle 67-51 on Saturday night.

Fall opened with a layup and UCF never trailed. B.J. Taylor scored 10 points in the first half and the Knights led 33-20 at halftime after holding the Redhawks to 25 percent shooting from the floor (8 of 32).

Williams' 3 sparked an 8-0 second-half run for a 45-28 UCF lead, which increased to 56-37 after he hit back-to-back 3s with 5:45 to go.

Taylor scored 20 points, made all 10 of his free throws and had three steals for UCF (4-1). Nick Banyard scored 10 points. Fall grabbed double-digit rebounds for the fourth time in five games.

Brendan Westendorf scored 14 points and Morgan Means added 10 for Seattle (2-4), which ends a five-game road trip.

East Carolina 70, Air Force 63
SAVANNAH, Ga. (AP) -- B.J. Tyson had 18 points and Caleb White added 15 as East Carolina knocked off Air Force 70-63 in the third place game of the Savannah Invitational on Saturday.

Tyson made 7 of 14 field goal attempts and White nailed 3 of 6 from long range.

The Pirates, who never trailed, were ahead 33-31 at the break and pushed that to 65-46 with 4:49 left in the game. Air Force's Ryan Manning nailed a 3-point jumper to close to 67-60 with 1:19 left. Tyson and Kentrell Barkley answered with three free throws to seal the win.

East Carolina (5-2) shot 60 percent from the floor in the second half, going 25 of 57 for the game, while limiting Air Force to 21-of-62 shooting.

Trevor Lyons led Air Force (5-2) with 13 points and seven rebounds. Zach Kocur was 4 of 6 from beyond the arc for 12 points.

Georgia Tech 82, Tulane 68
ATLANTA (AP) -- Josh Okogie hasn't needed much time to show coach Josh Pastner that he can score from anywhere on the floor.

"I feel like if I'm able to keep playing hard, I'll be able to keep producing for my team," Okogie said. "Coach expressed that to me as well. He said that I've got to get offensive rebounds and putbacks."

Okogie set a Georgia Tech freshman scoring record with 38 points, Ben Lammers added 19 points and 12 rebounds and the Yellow Jackets beat Tulane 82-68 on Saturday night.

Quinton Stephens had 14 points and 12 rebounds as the Jackets (4-1) finished a five-game home stand to begin its first season under Pastner.

Cameron Reynolds finished with 20 points to lead Tulane (1-5), which is in its first season under former NBA coach Mike Dunleavy.

Okogie, who starred at nearby Shiloh High School, surpassed the previous freshman record of 33 points by Mark Price against Virginia in the 1983 ACC tournament and Dion Glover against Seton Hall in the 1998 NIT.

Okogie hit 10 of his first 16 shots from the field and had 23 points when his layup pushed the Jackets to a 58-49 lead with 9:35 remaining. Okogie's total was the most by a Tech player since Kenny Anderson scored 42 points against Howard in 1991.

"Beforehand, he had a tendency to take plays off," Pastner said. "Now I say that and you look at his numbers as a freshman. Pretty darned good, but he just continues to get better. The reason he scored offensively was that he was at his best defensively."

Lammers added four blocks to push his season total to 28 blocks, most in the nation.

Georgia Tech led 37-32 at halftime as Stephens combined with Okogie for 21 points and with Lammers for 15 rebounds.

Tulane, playing its first road game, missed its first six shots of the second half and trailed 48-32 on Lammers' 3-point play.

The Green Wave cut the lead to five three times, but Lammers answered with a dunk and a 12-foot turnaround jumper from the baseline that made it 65-58 with 6:13 remaining.

"I thought we played our worst game of the year," Dunleavey said. "We showed no toughness out there. We came out in the second half and we didn't play that great. We had it to a five-point game, and we broke down on a couple of our different basic principles."

Okogie followed with a pair of free throws, a dunk on a bounce pass from Lammers and he added a 3-point play for a 16-point lead at the 2:03 mark.

Malik Morgan scored 13 points and Kain Harris added 11 for the Green Wave.
