CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (AP) -- Kyle Guy scored 13 points to lead five Virginia players in double figures, and the No. 14 Cavaliers used strong perimeter shooting to beat East Carolina 76-53 on Tuesday night.

Virginia (8-1) had little trouble bouncing back from Saturday's loss to then-No. 25 West Virginia. After trailing 16-15 with 9:26 remaining in the first half, the Cavaliers ended the period on a 27-4 run.

The spurt included seven straight made 3-pointers, with three coming from Guy.

A former Mr. Basketball in Indiana, Guy was held out for the final 11:27 during the loss to the Mountaineers. He logged 21 minutes Tuesday, sparking Virginia's early barrage from long range.

The Cavaliers finished 9 of 21 from beyond the arc, taking advantage of East Carolina's 2-3 zone.

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) -- Daryl Macon and Dusty Hannahs scored 17 points each as Arkansas pulled away in the second half for an 84-72 win over Houston on Tuesday night.

It was the fourth straight win for the Razorbacks (7-1), who shot 59.3 percent (16 of 27) in the second half to rally from a 35-34 halftime deficit.

Moses Kingsley added 14 points and eight rebounds for Arkansas, while Dustin Thomas had 11 points. The Razorbacks shot 50.8 percent overall (30 of 59).

Rob Gray scored 22 points to lead the Cougars (6-2), whose two losses this season have both come on the road against Southeastern Conference opponents. Damyean Dotson had 15 points and 10 rebounds, while Galen Robinson had 14 points and Wes Vanbeck scored 10.

Arkansas entered having won seven of its last eight games against its former Southwest Conference rival Cougars, who were making their first visit to Fayetteville since 1991.

The two teams also came in averaging more than 84 points per game, though Houston struggled early while falling behind by as many as 14 points in the first half. The Cougars rallied, however, to take a 35-34 halftime lead -- with 32 of those points coming from the backcourt quartet of Dotson, Robinson, Gray and Vanbeck.

Hannahs scored 10 of his points off the bench in the first half, finishing 6 of 11 overall from the field -- 2 of 3 on 3-pointers.
