PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s cross country honors for the week ending Sept. 4.

Emmanuel Rotich • So. • Tulane
Rotich finished second on the four mile course at the Brooks Twilight Classic in 19:11.25, which was one-tenth of a second behind the defending SEC cross country champion (Antibahs Kosgei, Alabama). Rotich helped the Green Wave finish eighth in the 24 team field. Tulane will run its next race on Sep. 10, at the Allstate Sugar Bowl Cross Country Festival in Metairie, La.

Rodriguez Sala finished the 5k course at the Brooks Twilight Classic in a time of 17:24.88 finishing as the third-place collegiate finisher. Memphis finished fourth overall in the 25 team field, finishing behind Alabama, Mississippi State and Mississippi. The Tigers will be back in action at the Rhodes College Invitational in Memphis, Tenn., on Sep. 17.
