Men's Soccer Minute: SMU Surges Past Northeastern, Tulsa Drops Denver at Home

Highlights

•  Joe Ruiz and Miguel Velasquez each scored a goal to give Tulsa a 2-1 win over Denver Tuesday night at the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium. Velasquez's goal in the 71st minute proved to be the game-winner. The Hurricane had an 11-9 lead in shots, including a 4-3 edge in shots on goal.

•  SMU scored five second half goals and rolled past Northeastern, 6-0, Tuesday night at Westcott Field. The six goals were the most scored by the Mustangs since defeating Central Arkansas, 7-0, on Oct. 15, 2014. Four SMU players tallied goals in the victory, including two apiece from Mauro Cichero and Garrett McLaughlin.
