Highlights

Abdou Mbacke Thiam scored the game-winning goal in the 79th minute to lift UConn to a 1-0 victory over Cincinnati Saturday evening at Gettler Stadium. The Huskies remain unbeaten in The American with the victory and have won their first three games in conference play for the second straight season. The Bearcats had the advantage in shots on goal, 6-3, and corner kicks, 6-2.

USF came from behind and scored three unanswered goals in the second half to pull away from Tulsa, 3-2, Saturday evening at the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium. Senior Ricardo Gomez led the Bulls with two goals, the first two-goal match of his USF career. Juan Sanchez and Kay Duit each scored a goal for the Hurricane in the loss.

Mauro Cichero's header in the 80th minute proved to be the game-winner as No. 25 SMU defeated Temple, 2-1, Saturday night at the Temple Sports Complex. Jared Rice gave the Mustangs the lead in the 21st minute before the Owls tied the score at 1-1 on a goal by Divin Fula Luzolo.

UCF and Memphis played to a 1-1 (2OT) draw on Saturday evening at the UCF Soccer Complex. The Tigers took the early lead over the Knights on Jackson Brady's first collegiate goal in the 10th minute. A header by junior UCF Andreas Steinegar in the 16th minute tied the score at 1-1.
