PROVIDENCE, R.I. –   The American Athletic Conference has recognized 85 student-athletes with All-Conference status following their performances at the conference's Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving Championships in Houston on February 15-18.
 
The 2017 All-Conference team is comprised of 43 women and 42 men who finished among the top three in an event at the championships.
 
Houston collected its first American Athletic Conference title with a first-place score of 772 in the women’s standings, while East Carolina was crowned the men's champion for the third straight year with the top score of 901.
 
The next competition for select conference competitors will be at the NCAA Championships. Swimmers who have qualified for the NCAA Women's Championship were announced on March 1, while the NCAA Men's Championship swimmers will be announced March 8. Competitors in diving will be announced March 12, following the conclusion of the five zone diving meets.
 
The NCAA Men’s and Women's Swimming and Diving Championships will be hosted at the IU Natatorium in Indianapolis, Indiana. The women’s competition will be held from March 15-18, while the men’s championship will take place from March 22-25.
