Highlights

• UConn received a 94th-minute goal from junior captain Abdou Mbacke Thiam to earn the sudden-goal victory over the Quinnipiac Monday evening at Morrone Stadium. The Huskies outshot the Bobcats 15-2 and Mbacke Thiam had a game-high seven shot attempts to lead all players.


• Bradley Farias led a balanced USF attack with the go-ahead goal and the Bulls routed Lipscomb, 3-0, Monday night at Corbett Stadium. It was a night firsts for the Bulls (1-0). The first win under head coach Bob Butehorn. The first shutout of the season and career for freshman goalkeeper Harrison Devenish-Meares.
